Chef Ryan Hatcher joined the Art House Café team this October. After growing up in Colorado and Illinois he moved to the Tacoma area in 2002. Ryan started at the Ram and then transitioned quickly to local country club dining. Ryan apprenticed at the Tacoma Golf and Country Club and then onto the Canterwood Country Club.
Ryan spent 4 years as the executive sous chef of Rainier Golf and Country Club. After almost 9 years in country clubs Ryan moved back to public restaurants as the head chef of HG Bistro in Puyallup and as head chef of The Historic Mint in Enumclaw.
Ryan helped open a couple new Tacoma restaurants early this year before finally joining the Art House team.
Currently living in the Ruston area of Tacoma, Ryan enjoys cooking at home for his family, kayaking, hiking, and supporting the Sounders.
Chef Ryan is looking forward to building a great dinner presentation to go with AH’s popular breakfast offerings. Working with fresh local foods, Ryan is already creating a new dinner menu at Art House Café introducing seasonal and inspired dishes from around the world, showcasing his culinary imagination and creativity! Ryan has received great reviews from day one!
